Zelal

Meet the Founder

Zelal is rooted in Switzerland and shaped by her Turkish heritage, coming from a shamanic lineage where ancestral wisdom, ritual, and plant medicine have been passed down through generations. This foundation informs a global perspective that bridges ancient traditions with modern, consumer-focused solutions. Through Amara Cacao, Zelal honors the sacred heritage of cacao while translating ritual, sustainability, and conscious living into accessible, contemporary experiences. Her work is driven by a commitment to cultural continuity, ethical sourcing, and the empowerment of communities through conscious ritual.

Our
Story

What once began as Nomad Cacao, founded by Zelal Yildiz, evolved into something deeper. As a nomad, Zelal felt called to root herself more firmly. In a shamanic encounter, she was told that her path would reach far beyond cacao. Her answer came from the heart: “But cacao will always be my companion.”

From this moment, the name Amara emerged.

Amara means the eternal and the infinite – a symbol of timelessness and balance. It unites the feminine energy of Ama (love, nurturing mother) with the masculine energy of Ra (the sun, strength and power).

In this union, Zelal found the essence of her path: eternity in balance, with cacao as a lifelong guide and companion.
